The Los Angeles Dodgers are an American professional baseball team based in Los Angeles. The Dodgers compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the National League West division. The team was established in Brooklyn back in 1883, where it entered the National League in 1890 as the Brooklyn Bridegrooms and took on several other names before finally settling on the name Dodgers in 1932.
